We don't know what kind of truth serum Owen Thiele is serving his podcast guests, but only three months after Hailey Bieber revealed her go-to beauty treatments on In Your Dreams with Owen Thiele, her good friend and fellow model Kendall Jenner has opened up about what kinds of cosmetic procedures she has—and hasn't—undergone. And it may surprise you.
Before delving into the details of any treatments she's dabbled in, she talks a bit about her skin history. “I had really bad acne in, like, high school, and then it came back, and I had adult acne at like 21, 22,” she shares, noting how her skin rarely gets breakouts now, but she was worried about scarring.
“Your first concern when you have acne is like, get rid of the acne. And then you realize, oh my god—and then now I have to deal with potentially lifelong scarring from depending on how bad your acne is, right? So my whole thing after that was like, okay… How do I now rejuvenate my skin to hopefully reverse some of the scarring? And I feel like I got really lucky,” she says. “And obviously, I'm extremely privileged and have such amazing access to the best doctors and the best dermatologists and all those kinds of things. So I've been really lucky in the knowledge that I've received from those people.”
As a result, she's a big fan of skin-rejuvenating treatments. “I love PRP and microneedling,” she tells Thiele of the treatment in which your own blood is placed into a centrifuge in order to separate the plasma, which is then microneedled into the skin. “I've been doing that for a long time because of my acne scars.” She says she's also had PRP injected into her crow's feet and laugh lines.
As for anything else needle-related: “I've done two rounds of baby Botox in my forehead. That's it. Only thing I've ever injected," she says, contradicting rumors about lip filler. And those rumors, sometimes asserted by medical professionals on social media, really get under her skin.
“I actually think it's really damaging what these doctors do online,” she says. “I'll see videos of me and professional, licensed doctors on Instagram or TikTok, and they're doing a breakdown of all the surgeries I've had and all the work I've had done and all these things, and I've seen them of other people too.” She expresses her concern that young people will think they should go get those procedures, too, even though the doctors sharing their assessments may be wrong—and in Jenner's case, she says, they are wrong about her.
“I will say, the nose job allegations I've gotten—I would believe them if I wasn't me,” she says. “I look at old photos of me, and I'm like, wait, it does look like I have a nose job.” And then, in response to Thiele's incredulity, she adds, “I swear to God on everything that I love, I've never had a nose job.”
And while she's intrigued by an unproven, TikTok-circulated theory that taking Accutane can allegedly “shrink” your nose (we cannot emphasize this enough: this is not proven), she chalks up the difference in her appearance to simply growing up. “I grew into my nose,” she says. “My nose did look wider, and it did feel bigger on my face when I was younger.”
